What is Dimraeth?

Dimraeth is a Souls-lite action RPG by Mudtek, a self-published first-time studio, entering Steam Early Access on 15 September 2026 for Windows and Steam Deck. You build a hero from 8 races and 6 classes — Mudtek calls the 48 pairings Archetypes, and each one gets its own skill tree — then fight through Mirkea alone or with up to seven other players in drop-in co-op. Combat is stamina-gated: read the telegraph, then commit to a strike, dodge, block or parry, with five spells equipped at a time out of a pool Mudtek puts at 300+.

Between runs you go home. You craft, brew and cook at four stations, raise farms and quarries, and invest materials in allies to expand their shops. Your level, gear, inventory and spells travel between worlds; story progress, recruited allies and buildings stay with the world where you earned them.

Everything on this site is drawn from the demo build that ran April to July 2026 and from Mudtek's own posts — the 46 documented spells, all 48 crafting recipes, the 8 gear slots and their 23 named set pieces, the Earlwood NPCs, both named bosses and the regions. Where a number is a target rather than a shipped fact, we say so on the page.

Get Started in 5 Steps

  1. Pick a pairing, not just a look. Your race and class set both your starting kit and the scaling cost of every attribute, so a Fairy Magician will struggle to afford physique-gated spells later. See races and classes for what is actually confirmed.
  2. Learn the tent quest before it learns you. The demo's most common quit point: open the build menu with B, hover an existing tent and hold SPACE to dismantle it for materials. A developer had to explain this three times on the forum — full walkthrough in the getting started guide.
  3. Treat stamina as your health bar. Parry costs stamina, and if stamina breaks the remaining damage goes straight to health. Multiple demo players who finished the game still called stamina their biggest problem.
  4. Cook before you explore. Meals restore hunger and grant buffs, and the eight campfire recipes need materials you only find outside. The full recipe list covers all four stations.
  5. Bring friends, but do not expect split-screen. Co-op is online-only peer-to-peer for up to 8, with no dedicated servers and no local play — details on the platforms page.

FAQ

Is it spelled Dimraeth or Dimreath?

Dimraeth. The 'Dimreath' spelling is a common transposition and Similarweb records it as a real search term with its own volume, so you are not the only one. Dimraeth is also the name of the power the story is fought over, not just the game.

When does Dimraeth come out?

15 September 2026, into Steam Early Access. That date was announced on 2 July 2026 and reconfirmed in the 2 September content update.

How much does Dimraeth cost?

Mudtek has not published the final price. A developer wrote on the Steam forum that it is 'going to be around 20 USD', with regional pricing following Steam's usual conversion. Treat 20 USD as an estimate from the studio, not a listed price.
