Dimraeth Controls: Keybinds, Controller and Resets

Supported input modes

Mudtek’s FAQ lists three, and the Steam store page confirms the controller side:

  • Keyboard and mouse — “for those who want precision and speed”
  • Gamepad / controller — full controller support, with DualShock and DualSense listed separately on the store page
  • WASD and mouse hybrid — added as a distinct option; a Mudtek devlog has a chapter on WASD support, so this was deliberate work rather than a fallback

The keybinds that are actually documented

Very little is published. These two come from a developer answering stuck players, and they are the two that cause the most trouble:

Everything else — attack, dodge, block, parry, spell slots — has not been published as a keybind list by Mudtek. Anyone presenting a full Dimraeth keybind table today is transcribing it from demo footage, and the demo build is gone.

If you break your own controls

One demo player managed to bind mouse0 to “exit menu” while remapping inventory, which cost them left-click across the entire game, and asked where the config file lives so they could restore defaults. No developer answered that thread.

So the honest advice is preventative rather than curative: before remapping, note what each binding was. If you do lock yourself out, the official Discord is where questions like this actually get answered — Mudtek says it is the fastest way to reach them, and several answers exist only there. The invite is on the links page.

Controller state at the end of the demo

Two threads flagged controller problems specifically:

  • “Controller support needs to improve”
  • “Cant pick things up off the ground (Controller)”

The Early Access list includes “many quality of life improvements” and a developer replying to detailed demo feedback said the QoL items in particular were “being reworked/modified already”. Whether that covers ground-item pickup on controller is not stated. If you are buying primarily to play on a pad or on Steam Deck, that is the open question worth watching on launch day.

Steam Deck

Steam Deck support was confirmed in an October 2025 development update and the official FAQ promises “full support for the Steam Deck”. Valve has not issued a Verified rating, which is expected — unreleased games do not get rated. The system requirements are modest enough (4 GB RAM minimum, GTX 750 class GPU) that the Deck should be comfortable.
